Responsibilities of Women's Federation in Promoting Social Gender Mainstream

由妇女联合会组织的性质和地位所决定,它应当在社会性别主流化中承担推动者、监督者和催化剂的角色;在具体工作中,妇女联合会组织应当明确社会性别主流化的承诺和发展战略,以社会性别统计和社会性别分析为手段,推动将社会性别平等纳入法律/政策的主流,推动其他部门和组织的社会性别主流化,赋权予妇女,并在全社会进行社会性别平等的倡导;为了更好地完成上述工作,妇女联合会组织还应在工作理念、工作思路和方法以及工作人员的社会性别意识和技能等方面加强能力建设。

Decided by its nature and position, women＇ s federation should exert the role of promoter, supervisor and catalyst in social gender mainstream. In specific work, it should define its promise of social gender mainstream and developing strategy, put gender equality into lawful and policy mainstream by means of gender statistics and gender analysis, promote gender mainstreaming of other units and organizations, endow women with rights, and advocate gender equality for whole society. To complete these work, women＇ s federation should enforce ability construction in job concepts, thinking ways, and its staff＇ s social gender awareness and skills.
