OUYANG Xiu＇s Gui Tian Lu, one of the more important collection of literary novels on Song Dynasty, which fully re- flects novel conception of OUYANG Xiu and his contemporary. The works recorded stories of the court and civil society, social cus- toms, and literati anecdotal of the early Northern Song Dynasty. With abundantment in content, vivid stories, expository writing, lively and witty conversion, it possesses of high value not only for its literary study but for historical study as well, and it has a significant im- pact on posterity.
