On the Comparison and Practical Application of Grammar-translation Method and Communicative-language Teaching for Non-English Majors

基于大学英语教学的目的和要求,本文旨在通过分析、比较我国外语教学中最为广泛运用的两种教学方法——语法翻译法和交际教学法的不同特点,探讨将这两种教学方法综合运用到外语教学中的可行性。

Based on the purpose and request of Foreign Language Teaching, This paper mainly discusses the different characteristics by analyzing and comparing Grammar-Translation Teaching method and Communicative language teaching, which have been used most widely in Foreign Language Teaching in China. This paper also explores the possibilities to synthesize the two teaching methods into the present Foreign Language Teaching.
