Figures of speech is activities of using language in order to achieve the best possible means of ex- pression of language. Appropriate use of rhetoric can make language vivid, concrete, lively and enjoyable. For translating English rhetoric, we must first understand its characteristics, understand English and Chinese lan- guages in the cultural similarities and differences, and then carry out translation according to the specific circum- stances and use appropriate skills to do it.
