Pragmatic failure in intercultural communication

针对跨文化交际中,语用失误时有发生的问题,对跨文化交际中几种日常语用失误进行了分析,讨论了中西方文化在价值观、礼貌和面子观念、非言语行为、社会习俗等方面的差异;提出系统学习西方文化和加强文化意识的培养对促进跨文化交际有重大意义。

There often exists pragmatic failure in intercultural communication, several kinds of routine pragmatic failure in intercultural communication are analyzed, and there are big differences between western and Chinese culture in the aspects of values, politeness and face conception, nonverbal behavior and social custom. Finally, the systemic study of western culture and culture awareness training are proposed to promote intercultural communication.
