《诗学》和《文心雕龙》是思想史上的重要著作,对中西文化产生了深远的影响。对其进行研究、探讨,具有理论的和现实的重要意义。就影响、规模、研究的对象、对文学范畴的界定、研究范式、思维方法、批判视角、文体视角、创新程度以及对后来思想传统的启发而言,从学术意义和思想史意义上看,都是值得纵深挖掘的。因此在这些方面做了一些工作,厘定了一些问题,希望对二者的研究,乃至于中西思想史的研究,尤其是在诗学和文学理论研究方面有所启迪。

Poetics and The Carving of Dragons are a prince match in the West and the East which have thrown formidable light upon each of their cultures and even upon the world. It is both theoretically and practically significant to investigate the causes. The paralleled perspectives of their side by side influences, scale, studying objects, the definition of literary categories, the norms of research, methodology of thinking, points of view in criticism, stylistics, novelty and inspirations upon later ages and so on are studied with the hope to edify the academic deduction of Sino - Western thought and poetics and theory in literature.
