On the Practical Value of D.C. North Institution Change Theory

Against the traditional theory, North thinks that economic growth comes from institution instead of technology in which the most important factor is the structure of property rights. This methodology returns to the combination of theory and history which includes property right theory, state theory and ideological theory, namely, institution change theory. It has theoretical significance and practical value in China＇s economic development.
