On the Cultural Psychology of the Bridegroom’s Parents on Marriage Payment

以北方农村的调查资料为基础,探讨了婚姻支付对于男方父母的文化心理意义,揭示了男方父母承担高额婚姻支付背后的动力机制。认为男方婚姻支付在家庭经济生活中占有重要地位。

On the basis of investigating materials in villages in north China, the article discusses the cultural psychology of the bridegroom＇s parents on marriage payment, and reveals the driving mechanism behind the huge amount of marriage payment borne by the bridegroom＇s parents. The authors hold that marriage payment borne by the bridegroom＇s side plays an important role in family economic life.
