Museum Effects in Modern and Contemporary Art of the West

本文从博物馆功能历史演变的角度分析了西方现当代艺术与博物馆的联系,指出博物馆的抽象功能是现代艺术"为艺术而艺术"的基础,而博物馆的物化效应保证了"走出艺术"的当代艺术仍然是艺术。博物馆是艺术的边界,位于艺术的边缘,距离中心最远,但是它保证中心内容得以成为中心。

This article tries to discover the relations of west modern and contemporary arts with museum from the point of view of museum’s function evolution,pointing out that the abstract function of the museum is the basis of modern art which proposes the slogan 'art for art's sake',and that the reification effect of the museum guarantees the art status of contemporary art which goes out of art. The museum is the border of the art,located at the artistic edge,the farthest away from center,but it ensures that the center can be the center.
