桑给巴尔海峡重金属污染的指示生物:大型褐藻Padina boergesenii

摘要 本研究通过对大型褐藻Padina boergesenii的调查来评价桑给巴尔海峡重金属的污染情况。从坦桑尼亚大陆的达累斯萨拉姆,Bagamoyo,到桑给巴尔的温古贾岛西海岸的30多个站点采集海藻。发现大陆各站点的锰、锌、铜及铁的浓度比桑给巴尔站点的高。所有5个污染最严重的站点都分布在大陆上,其中2个在达累斯萨拉姆城北部,2个在Kunduchi地区,1个在Bagamoyo镇中心附近。分析的其他元素如镉、铬、镍、砷、镁、钒和硫变动较小,与背景值相同。不同站点的海藻组织中的碳、氮、磷含量相近。这项研究的结论是褐藻Padina可用做监测本地区重金属污染的有用的生物指示物种。
