Measurements of the Equivalent Thicknesses of Three-dimensional PGC54-like Spiral Galactic Disks

利用改进的Peng的方法,对Sloan Digital Sky Survey(SDSS)最新发布的旋涡星系的图像进行了处理和旋臂拟合,得到了73个旋涡星系的等效厚度和旋臂的切向角,这些物理量对以后星系性质的进一步研究非常重要.

Based on the improved Peng＇s method, the equivalent thicknesses of 73 spiral galactic disks have been derived through processing images and fitting spiral arms. The improved Peng＇s method is built on the Poission equation＇s exact solutions of the galactic disk＇s gravitational potential perturbation. The images are from the latest spiral images released by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey （SDSS）. These data are important for further researches on spiral galaxies.
