赤泥及其复配体系阻燃聚乙烯的研究 被引量:6

摘要 采用X射线光电子能谱、热失重分析法及粒度分析法研究了拜耳法赤泥表面的元素组成、热稳定性及粒度分布;采用复配协同阻燃的方法,将拜耳法赤泥分别与微胶囊红磷、聚磷酸铵、硼酸锌、氢氧化镁等阻燃剂复配,研究了赤泥复配阻燃剂用于聚乙烯的阻燃效果。研究表明,拜耳法赤泥表面含有铝、硅、磷及氮等多种阻燃元素,热稳定性及粒度均可满足阻燃塑料的基本要求,质量分数为50%的拜耳法赤泥阻燃聚乙烯的氧指数为20.8%。在增容剂接枝马来酸酐聚乙烯存在下,赤泥复配阻燃聚乙烯的氧指数达到了30.3%,力学性能基本满足应用需求。 This paper is aimed to introduce our research on the flame retardancy of polyethylene by rod mud and its compositional systems. As is known, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), thermo- gravimetric analysis (TGA) and particle size analysis have all been used to measure the surface elementary composition, thermal stability and particle size distribution of Bayer red mud. In practice, Bayer red mud and its compounds of microencapsulated red phosphorus (MRP), zinc borate (ZB), ammonium polyphosphate (APP) and magnesium hydroxide (MH) can be added to polyethylene (PE) properly to study the fire retardant properties of polyethylene composites, which makes it worthwhile to study the use of red mud as a kind of the flame retardant materials. In this paper, we have also investigated the red mud in hope to obtain one of the most effective ways for speeding up the treatment of the pollution of red mud to the environment protection. The results show that the surface of Bayer red mud contains aluminum, silicon, phosphorus, nitrogen and other elements; heat stability and particle size of red mud can meet the needs of flame retardant plastic. The oxygen index of PE filled with 50% mass fraction of the red mud has been can be made to rise to 20.8 % whereas the oxygen index of the flame retardant PE with the red mud compound, 110 phr of red mud, 15 phr of MRP, 20 phr of ZB, 12.5 phr of maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene (MAPE) and 25 phr MH can be made to go up to 30.3 %. Thus, the mechanical properties of this flame retardant PE prove to be able to meet the demands of the actual application.
