摘要
德里克.博克早期的本科教育目标强调培养学生多方面的能力,促进学生的全面发展;随着社会的发展,其本科教育目标开始注重培养学生多方面的素养,以适应现代社会的多样化需求。博克对本科教育目标论述的发展折射出美国高等教育理念的变化,即大学教育应在学生发展和社会需求两种张力之间建立新的平衡。
Derek Bok's early objectives put more emphasis on developing a wide range oi capacities to promote comprehensive development of undergraduate students. With the development of society, Bok's objectives focus on deveioping a wide range of qualities to meet the diversified needs of modern society. Bok's objectives reflect the transformation of the ideas of American higher education, namely it should keep a new equilibrium between the tension of students' development and social needs.
