On the trends of the globalization of higher education

全球化背景下的高等教育发展出现了一些新动向:留学生教育市场扩大,国际生源争夺激烈;学者和学生的国际交流与合作力度加大;相互承认证书和互换学分;课程地区化和国际化。对此,应采取的对策包括:高质量且规模适度地发展高等教育以防止生源大量外流;培养具有国际视野和国际交往能力的人才;大学应当主动改革,应对挑战;积极推进国际交流与合作。

There appear some new trends under the background of the globalization of higher education： the expansion of international student markets; the enhancement of cooperation and the international exchange of scholars and students; mutual recognition of diplo- mas and degrees; the building of credit transfer systems; the regionalization and internation- alization of curriculum. To meet these challenges, the strategies should include： to develop higher education both qualitatively and quantitatively in case of civil students moving abroad massively, to bring up students with international views and the ability of international communications, to take reform actively, to promote the international exchange and cooperation.
