叶大庄学问渊博,精于考证之学,好吟咏,文笔流畅,负有诗名,对繁荣晚清福州的诗坛起了极大的推动作用。叶大庄生前在从政之余饱览群籍,所著甚多,《大戴礼记审议》即是其一。

Ye Dazhuang has a poetic name for scholarship,a broad expertise in research of science,a good chant and fluid writing style, He was a great boost on the prosperity of the world of poetry from the late Qing Dynasty in Fuzhou. Before his death, Ye Dazhuang enjoyed group membership in apart from the politics and wrote several works, one of which is Dai De＇s consideration of the Rites.
