A Comparative Analysis of English and Chinese Idioms——from the Perspective of Conceptual Metaphors of "Fear"

英汉两种语言中有相似的"愤怒"概念隐喻,每种概念隐喻下都有很多相似的习语隐喻性表达,而且每种概念隐喻下的隐喻性表达大量地使用不同的习语。出现"愤怒"情感概念隐喻及其表达方式异同的原因是由其地理位置和历史文化传统的不同引起的。

In both English and Chinese,there are similar conceptual metaphors of＂fear＂.Under each conceptual metaphor,there are many similar metaphorical expressions which include various metaphorical idioms.Due to differences in geography,history,culture and tradition,the emotion of fear is expressed by different conceptual metaphors.
