Application of ArcView in the Map Management

传统地图学方法在调用大量的地图时,数据查询和更新会遇到很大困难。为了实现地图的快速查询和更新,提出一种地图查询方法,即在ArcView中利用Archtools模块制作大小不等的网格,并建立对应图层的属性数据库,从而达到通过管理网格来管理地图的目的。利用该方法,可以直观地显示地图的空间分布状况,并实现空间位置和属性的双向查询,提高工作效率。

There are problems in quering data and updating data process with traditional cartography method. Therefore, this paper puts forward a new method of querying map, which creates grid of different size using Archtools model in Arcview and adds attribute for each layer. We can see the map＇s spatial distribution directly, clearly, and query the spatial position of the map using its attribute; in the same way, the attribute can also be obtained by querying its spatial position. The method makes map management easier and more efficient.
