The Making of Li Dazhao's Concept of History

1924年,商务印书馆出版的李大钊著的《史学要论》,标志着李大钊的史学思想已经走向成熟。在此书中,李大钊提出了"历史"的完整的定义。他的这个定义是有两个形成的过程的。他曾经思考过诸多国内外历史学者对于历史的定义,但在接受了唯物史观以后,他才真正明确了"历史"的概念。他对"历史"的定义,是他的史学思想中很有价值的重要内容。

The publication of Li Dazhao＇s Introduction to Historical Theory in 1924 by the Commercial Press witnessed the maturation of his historical thought.In this book Li put forward a complete definition of history which had a profound influence ever since.It took some time for Li Dazhao to arrive at this conception of history.He used to investigate different conceptions about history by many scholars at home and abroad before he accepted the historical materialism,which made his conception of history more accurate and helped to disclose the essence of history.It also highlighted his historical thinking,which was characteristic of the times.
