Performance analysis and energy-consumption study of the IEEE 802.15.4 standard for low-rate wireless networks

摘要 通过分析IEEE 802.15.4标准数据传输方式,利用NS2工具对星型网、对等网及簇树网在信标使能和非信标使能模式下的网络性能进行仿真,结果显示了通信速率的增加、信标级数的改变及信标使能节点的变化对端到端延时、投递率等性能指标的影响,在网络中各类节点的能量损耗问题上,通过计算节点的能量消耗,对网络中节点的平均剩余能量分布加以分析。仿真分析结果为在应用中更好的配置协议和信标级数,达到更可靠、节能的效果提供了理论基础。 Firstly,based on the analysis of data transmission methods of IEEE 802.15.4 standards,using of NS2 to simulate the network performance with respect to star,peer-to-peer and cluster tree topologies respectively.The simulation results showed that traffic rate increased,beacon order changed and beacon-enabled node changed impact on performance metrics such as end-to-end delay and delivery rate.By calculating the energy consumption of every node,we compare the energy consumption problems of various types of nodes in the networks,then annlyse the average energy remained in the cluster-tree networks.The analytical results provide the theoretical principles for better protocol configurating and beacon order to achieve more reliable,more energy-saving purposes in the development and application.
