A statistical analysis of the research articles published in Journal of Guilin University of Electronic Technology

以《桂林电子科技大学学报》发表的论文为统计源,采用文献计量学原理和引文分析方法,对1999-2008年出版的1258篇科技论文进行统计和分析。根据基金论文比、被引频次和影响因子呈逐年上升趋势分析结果,对《学报》进行了评析,并对如何提高《学报》学术水平提出一些建议。主要目的是在分析和统计的基础上,为学校领导在《学报》的出版定位与编辑策略提供决策参考。

This paper reports the results of a statistical analysis that we conducted into the research articles published in Journal of GUET（henceforth the Journal）.1258 articles published in the years from 1999 to 2008 were collected as the data for analysis.Methods of bibliometrics and citation analysis were applied in carrying out the analysis.Our analysis found that the proportion of funded papers in the total number of articles published in the Journal assumed a steady increase from 1999 to 2008.Citation frequency and impact factors of the journal also improved.These findings were then used as a basis for a comprehensive assessment we exercised afterwards on the Journal＇s operations.Analysis results from this work can serve as a valuable reference for the Journal managerial body in making plans and decisions concerning future development of the Journal.
