Two kinds of commercial cellulose gel and the modifications of the low-porous gel to a form of affinity adsorbent were investigated by probing the accessibility of the hydrogels for a set of dextrans of varying molecular weight. The results of overall process, size exclusion chromatography and the model of describing particle partition coefficient of cellulose gel are found. Especially, once model of describing particle partition coefficient of cellulose gel can be described by the simple random plane model.
