Web访问数据库的两种方法

TWO APPROACHES TO REFER TO DATABASE THROUGH WEB

目前有两种比较常用的方法可以实现Web对数据库的访问，一种方法是Web浏览器通过Web网关间接访问；另一种方法是通过JDBC直接访问．这两种方法在技术和性能上有着根本的差别。本文对这两种方法的原理及设计中的关键问题进行了探讨，并在此基础上，运用目前一些先进的产品和技术分别实现两种方法对校园网上数据库（Sybase数据库）的访问，最后还对这两个实例进行了比较．

There are two approaches to refer to the database through Web. One is the indirect ac-cess by a browser through Web gateway, and the other is the direct access througth JDBC. This paper deals with the principle and the key design problem of both approaches which differ greatly from each other in technology and property and with which the reference to the 'database in cam-pus network (XY-base)' can be made, together with an illustrative example to draw a comparison between them.
