The fast drying primer used in PU primer was synthesized by phthalic anhydride, bean oil acid, glycerol and pentaerythritol etc. as the main materials. The effects of type and amount of materials on the resin characters were discussed. The PU primer was prepared by the chosen resin, which showed good drying speed and sanding effect.
