摘要
在介绍Moodle在国内外研究进展的基础上,分析了Moodle开源软件在西藏本地化进程中的应用困境与技术难题,这些问题的解决对西藏教育信息化建设将起到一定的促进作用。同时,由于藏文信息技术日趋完善,也为Moodle开源软件在西藏教育中的应用创新提供了宝贵经验与技术基础。
Open source Moodle has been used widely in the education sector both at home and abroad for its economy and user-friendliness. It is a wise choice to use Moodle in distance education in Tibet, to save cost and to develop lifelong learning. Nevertheless, localization of Moodle in Tibet has been facing technological and practical difficulties. This study analyzes the potential difficulties in the redevelopment of Moodle in Tibetan localization in terms of the Tibetan language, technology needed to input Tibetan characters in web pages and displaying Tibetan language online, etc. Solution to these issues will exert a great push towards the use of IT in education in Tibet.
