Taicang Port marches towards international gateway

万里长江第一港——太仓港驶出了第一艘直达美国西海岸的集装箱班轮。4月17日下午，被命名为“太仓龙”的2578标箱集装箱船装载着至美国洛杉矶的出口货箱，拉响了长长的汽笛，起锚扬帆，开通太仓港第一条远洋集装箱班轮航线。

The first container liner directly to the U.S.West Coast sailed off the first port of Yangtze River-Taicang Port.On the afternoon of April 17, the container ship named 'Taicang Dragon' of 2578 TEU loaded with exports to Los Angeles of the United States,a long whistle sounded,set off from Taicang Port,thus,opened the first ocean-going container shipping route of the port.The opening of the West Coast route,no doubt,is the landmark event in the history of the Yangtze River port.
