Dynamic Changes of Collection Coverage Situations in Local University Libraries

地方高校馆藏图书收藏的覆盖程度影响馆藏整体的实用性、完备性和系统性,同时也影响到读者对学科专业教学和科研资源的需求。台州学院图书馆2001-2008年新收藏图书的覆盖情况的调查统计数据,揭示了现有馆藏图书的时空变化特征与馆藏图书覆盖情况动态变化的原因。造成馆藏图书资源覆盖率变化差异的主要原因是地方高校规模发展迅速、图书经费增幅有限、学科专业结构调整和图书出版品种数量猛增等。

Collection coverage situations not only affect the practicality, completeness and system of collections, but also affect readers＇ demand for disciplinary teaching and research resources. Survey on statistical data of collection coverage situations in the Library of Taizhou University during 2001-2008 reveals reasons for the temporal and spatial variation and dynamic change of collection coverage situations, such as rapid development of local universities, limited book acquisition funds, the adjustment of disciplinary professional structure and the booming of book publishing species.
