This paper fully analyzes the requirements for video monitoring systems from various sectors in the railway industry.It also discusses the feasible scheme of integrating the compatible and existing video monitoring systems.And it expounds the preliminary design conception for developing an integrated railway video monitoring system based on the feasible scheme mentioned above.The conception basically satisfies the investigated requirements of each speciality.At the same time,it fully considers the integration of the resource of the existing video monitoring systems and the wide area and multiple-layer integrated video monitoring system conceived by the scheme.
