信息技术在图书馆管理和服务中的广泛应用提高了其管理和服务水平,同时读者隐私权保护的问题也相伴而生。解决这个问题首先要建立健全与隐私权保护相关的法律制度。行业自律是法律法规的补充和完善,具有极强的可行性。预防读者隐私泄露的先进技术的应用和读者自我保护意识的增强也不容忽视。
Application of information technology in the management and service in libraries improves the level of management and service,meanwhile it does harm to readers＇ privacy. To handle it,laws on the protection of readers＇ privacy must be leg- islated. With a high level of feasibility, libraries＇self- regulation is supplementary for the laws. Application of advanced technology to prevent somebody to reveal readers＇ privacy and enhancement of readers＇self- protection awareness shouldn＇t be ignoted.
