At the beginning of 20th century, with the revolutionary development livestock husbandry in developed industrialization countries, the study of the alimentation of animal was pro- moted widely and deeply , especially the animal's alimentation need for microelement and the mi- croelementg importance to animal have been attested. Copper as the necessary element of the ru- minant prevention of disease and growth have gradually attested, its meaning of nutrition primary express at the main part of many kinds of enzyme in animalg body attends the oxidation of phos- phorus oxide, connective tissue cross - linkin, hair grow and so on . The copper can make some affect to the animal. On the other hand, copper is the necessary element of dextrose metabolizabili- ty,cadre mineralization, immunity and other enginery metabolizability. Now, it is widely using in the modern animal breeding. The writer mainly talk about the copper in the environment, its con- tent and distributing in the body of the ruminant, the ruminant absorb and metabolizability, biologi- cal function and copper lack, the quantity of copper animal can take.
