Roles of Endothelin and Its Receptors in Hormone Refractory Prostate Cancer

目前发现内皮素和体内多种肿瘤的生长有关。如前列腺癌、乳腺癌等。内皮素是一种血管内皮细胞产生的肽类物质,不仅具有强烈的缩血管功能,其生物活性可能与促进肿瘤细胞有丝分裂、抑制凋亡、诱导肿瘤细胞生长过程中血管生成、激活原癌基因有关。晚期可能还与前列腺癌骨转移、成骨作用和疼痛有关。

Investigation on role of endothelin （ET） in a variety of tumors such as prostste cancer, breast carecinoma has provided an important evidence in cancer recently. ET is peptide released by endothelial cells not only with potent vasoconstrictor function, but also of the biological actions on mitogenesis of tumor cells, apoptosis inhibition, angiogenesis, and activation of proto-oncogene almost. ET may relate to invasiveness, osteoblast function, and metastatic cancer in advanced prostate cancer.
