Analysis on the System of Buddhism Officials in Wei Jin Period

佛教在中国已经有上千年的历史,已经成为中国文化的重要组成部分。今天,佛教仍对中国社会产生显著的影响。佛教自汉末传入中国,经过汉魏两晋的发展,不断壮大,形成了组织化的佛教僧团,在社会上的影响越发显著。政府开始注意到佛教的巨大力量,并逐渐对其实施正式的管理,在南北朝建立和实施完整的僧官制度。文章对佛教僧官制度的源起、具体设置逐一进行了探析。

There has been a more than one-thousand- year history for Buddhism in China, and Buddhism has become an important component part of Chinese culture. Nowadays, Buddhism is still having a significant effect on Chinese society. After coming into china at the end of Han Dynasty and the development in Weijin Period, Buddhism was thriving with its organized shaman groups, and influencing the whole society more and more. By this time, the govemment also was aware of Buddhism＇ s great power of influence and gradually adopted public administration on Buddhism, and built a whole system of Buddhism officials. This article analysed the system of Buddhism officcials＇ generation, set-up and finally its value for the management of Buddhism and other religions in China nowadays.
