The paper introduces a street light control system based on Echelon power line technology. In this system, every street light is embedded a power line communication chip and can be controlled independently. This solution has been used in many cities in Europe. The system can save up to 50% Energy and associated CO2 Emissions, reduce maintenance costs, enhance the quality of the lighting service etc. It＇s a good solution for building a green and energy saving city.
