To Promote the Communication and Protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Ethnic Regions

我国地域辽阔,民族众多,各民族在历史长河中,共同创造的光辉灿烂的民族非物质文化遗产,是取之不尽、用之不竭的丰厚的文化宝库。由于各种主客观原因,非物质文化遗产特别是民族地区非物质文化遗产基因不同程度地遭受冲击和破坏,一些优秀的、反映广大人民群众思想和情趣的文化濒临失传。胡锦涛同志提出的以人为本、全面协调可持续的科学发展观,为我们指明了传承、保护和开发利用民族地区非物质文化遗产工作的方向,奠定了贯彻执行"保护为主,抢救第一,合理利用,继承发展"方针和原则的基础。要采取各种有效方法和措施,努力实现保护与开发利用两全不误的奋斗目标。

Owing to the vast territory and numerous nationalities of our country, the different nationalities, in the long history, have collectively created glorious and excellent intangible cultural heritage, which like a rich cultural storehouse cannot be used up and exhausted. But due to all kinds of subjective and objective reasons, the genes of the intangible cultural heritage, especially those in the ethnic regions have been seriously affected and destroyed to some extent, so that some excellent cultures that can reflect the thought and sentiment of the great masses have been on the verge of extinction. The scientific outlook of development that put the human foremost and wholly keep sustainable, put forward by Comrade Hu Jingtao, has pointed out the direction of inheriting, protecting and exploring the intangible cultural heritage of the ethnic groups, and laid the foundation of following the guideline and principle of ＂primary protection, foremost salvation, rational utilization, inheritance and development＂. All kinds of efficient methods and measures shall be adopted to protect and develop as the final goals.
