On Tao Bi’s Poetic Creation in Guangxi

宋人陶弼在广西任地方官长达二十余年,颇有政绩,其间创作了大量的诗歌作品。这些作品记录了他的军旅生活,反映了他向往文治的思想,体现了地方官的责任感和自省精神,流露了思乡之情,更描绘了广西的自然风光,记录了独特的地方民族风情,这些诗歌在广西文化史上占有重要地位。

Tao Bi, as a magistrate in Guangxi for more than twenty years in Song Dynasty, made con- siderable achievements in his politic career. During that period, he created a great number of poems to note his military career and reflect his inclination towards civil administration, which represented a magistrate＇s sense of responsibility and self-reflection, and expressed the poet＇s homesickness. Moreover, they described natural scenery and special local ethnic folklore in Guangxi. These poems occupy an important position in the cultural history of Guangxi.
