鉴于大学网站英文版在国家"大外宣"格局中不可替代的地位,以某些名校网站的英文版为例,从传播与功能的角度检视大学网站英文版的翻译原则、翻译策略、翻译偏差以及译者把关与信息反馈等方面的问题。
An informative and reader - friendly English version of a Chinese university website may serve as an efficient communication channel between the university and the target audience. This article intends to offer communication and functional perspectives on translation principles, strategies and errors concerning English versions of university websites. An additional area of concern is the translator's role in gatekeeping and providing feedback.
