By comparing the main differences in test requirements between noise standards ISO 362-1 ： 2007 and ISO 362 ： 1998, it is clear that ISO362-1 ： 2007 has more strict requirements on test instruments, test site, test environment and test vehicle preparation. The test method used in ISO362-1：2007 is much more complicated than that in ISO362：1998 in respects of selections of reference point, gear position and test items as well as the determination of approaching speed and data processing and so on. Finally, the noise measuring test is conducted on a sample vehicle as per two standards respectively with the differences of test results obtained.
