Since late 2009, southwestern China has coped with its most severe drought in 100 years. The drought has made it difficult for 22.7 million people in Yunnan, Guizhou and Siehuan provinces, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Chongqing Municipality to find drinking water.
