对称多处理器下基于调度域的超线程实现

摘要 自从Linux2.4支持对称多处理结构以来,Linux操作系统开发者一直在探索能够更好发挥多处理器效能的方法。其中,加强超线程处理能力是基本的解决方案之一。因此分析对称多处理器下超线程的实现具有重要意义。通过对内核源代码的解读,对对称多处理器下基于调度域的超线程实现机理进行了剖析。最后针对两个版本的内核(一个带有调度域结构,一个没有调度域结构)进行了对比测试分析。通过比较,可以看出对称多处理器下基于调度域的超线程实现其性能更优。 Since Linux 2.4 has supported Symmetrical Multi-Processing structure, Linux operating system's develop- ers have been trying to find the way which can make the effectiveness of multi-processor better. Strengthening the capacity of Hyper-Threading is one of the basic solutions. Therefore, it is very important for analysis the realization of Symmetrical Multi-Processor with hyper-threading. This paper analyzes the implementation mechanism of Symmetri- cal Multi-Processor with hyper-threading based on scheduling domain, through reading the kernel code. Finally this paper compares and testes two versions of the kernel (one has scheduling domain structure, the other doesn't have). By comparison, the performance of Symmetrical Multi-Processor with hyper-threading based on scheduling domain is better.
