摘要
首先对高双折射光纤的基本原理和概念作了介绍,并简要讨论了用于分析高双折射光子晶体光纤的常用数值方法及其特点。在此基础上,提出可将高双折射光子晶体光纤归纳为四种基本类型,并对每一种类型的原理、特点和典型结构作了介绍和分析。还简要介绍了高双折射光子晶体光纤的典型应用,最后对高双折射光子晶体光纤的发展方向和前景进行了展望。
Firstly,the basic concepts and principles of highly birefringent optical fibers are introduced and also the common numerical methods for the simulation of the highly birefringent PCFs are discussed. Secondly, highly birefringent photonic cystal fibers (PCFs) are classified into four groups and for each type, the principles, characteristics and typical configurations are introduced. Thirdly, typical applications of highly birefringent PCFs are introduced and the developing trends are discussed.
