As a prominent digital photogrammetric workstation, JX- 4C DPW is famous for its convenient operations and powerful functions. Some functions which are involved with symbol database sometimes are ignored by users. But in fact we find that operation would be much easier as long as we make better use of it. This paper combines the practical experience of this production and introduces a way of using symbol database to enhance efficiencies and reduce mistakes.
