黄瓜专用砧木品种黄诚根2号是以从山东寿光收集的平砧南瓜S216为母本,国外引进的南瓜材料S584为父本杂交育成的中国南瓜类型一代杂种。该品种与黄瓜亲和力强,耐低温,高抗枯萎病,具有去除黄瓜表面蜡粉的作用,对黄瓜口感品质无不良影响。适用于保护地黄瓜嫁接栽培。

Huangchenggen No. 2 is a new F1 hybrid rootstock, Cucurbita moschata D. ,for cucumber. It is bred by crossing inbred line S216 as female parent with S584 as male parent. This variety has high compatibility with the cucumber. It is tolerant to low temperature and resistant to Fusarium wilt. It has the ability to produce bloomless cucumber fruit and no adverse effect on fruit quality. This rootstock variety is suitable for cucumber production in protected cultivation.
