从《喜福会》看中国式的“慈”与“孝”

美国华裔女作家谭恩美的成名作《喜福会》向西方读者展示了古老神秘的中华传统文化,让他们认识了西方文明以外的人生态度与价值观。通过作品中着力体现的中国传统道德规范中的"慈"与"孝",使中国传统的儒家文化与东方文明文化能够更加深入人心。

The Joy Luck Club, written by the American-Chinese female writer, Amy Tan, vividly tells a story about four Chinese immigrant mothers and their American-grown daughters. From the perspective of a second-generation immigrant, the writer makes a deep and thorough analysis of the traditional Chinese culture. This paper mainly elaborates on the traditional Chinese ethics, namely, mother＇s sacrifice and donation to daughters and daughter＇s obedience and repayment to mothers, which may make the traditional Chinese cultures widely known by the western readers.
