After World War II, Konrad Adenauer sized up the situation, strongly advocated the unification of the Europe, and promoted the idea of European unification to change to the reality. He attached great importance to the relationship between Germany and France, regarded the understanding and cooperation between France and Gen^any as the cornerstone of European integration. He started the early history, of European integration, and laid a solid foundation for future continuous deepening and expanding of European integration.
