Analysis on the Features of Moxibustion Therapy in Management of Sores and Ulcers

运用计算机对130种古医籍中用艾灸治疗外科疮疡的内容进行统计,结果显示,多灸患部穴、关节部穴和上背部穴;多灸经外奇穴,选灸大肠经穴与膀胱经穴;常用直接灸,也采用隔药灸,选用的药物有大蒜、豆豉、附子、硫磺、薤菜、巴豆、鸡子白、苦瓠、蛴螬等,还采用熏灸法,包括神灯照、桑木灸、青布熏、信石熏等。

According to the analyses on the records relevant to treatment of sores and ulcers by moxibustion in 130 ancient TCM classics, the acupoints were most frequently selected in the affected area, at joints, and at upper back; extra points were commonly used and the points from Intestinal and Bladder meridians were also among the options; both direct moxibustion and herb-partitioned moxibustion therapies were adopted, and the commonly encountered herbs included Allium Sativum, Aconite, and so on; other therapies such as smoldering moxibustion were also recorded.
