论韩贞的弃佛从儒与他的哑禅之修

Han Zhen's practicing Mute Zen

韩贞是王艮、王襞的弟子,泰州学派的重要传人。受王艮、王襞禅学思想特别是王襞的禅学影响的影响,韩贞虽然从学泰州后弃佛归儒,甚至对佛教有所批评,但他一生也没有脱离佛、道的影响。韩贞修的禅是儒禅,也是吸收了佛道修行方法的综合之禅。韩贞强调内悟、静修,主张无说为妙,所以他修的禅也是一种哑禅。

Han Zhen was Wang Gen＇s and Wang Bi＇s student as well as disciple of the Taizhou School. Influenced by the doctrines of the Zen Buddhism of Wang Gen and Wang Bi, he did not get rid of the influence of Buddhism and Taoism all his life although he gave up Buddhism and followed Confucianism and even criticized Buddhism. What he practiced was Confucianism Zen, that is, comprehensive Zen integrated with Buddhism. Hart Zhen stressed inner understanding and quiet practice and advocated muteness, so the Zen which he practiced was mute Zen.
