As for how to interpret-et in phonetic,there was no satisfactory explanation.Here it is interpreted as infix of phonetic.This thesis firstly has an analysis about the definitions of English infix,points out the referring scope of the concept English infix in the following discussion;and then gives a description of the origins and the types of English infix,at last puts forward the writer＇s humble opinions about English infix aiming to elicit out the others＇ valuable opinions.To sum up,both the conventional,basic,unmarked expressions that embedded in language and the special,extended,marked ones could be regarded as English infixes.
