"3+5"城市群综合实力在湖南省域范围内处于绝对优势,肩负着启动湖南发展的重任。然而,"3+5"城市群在建设和发展的过程中也出现了诸如中心城市竞争力不足、区域发展不平衡、城乡差距较大等问题,因此,唯有对症下药,以"两型社会"建设为突破口,以新型工业化、新型城市化为推动力,提升竞争力、改善产业结构、统筹区域发展、统筹城乡发展,才能使"3+5"城市群真正成为撬动湖南崛起的杠杆。

The comprehensive strength of ＂3 ＋ 5＂ city group takes an absolute advantage in Hunan province. The ＂＇3 ＋ 5＂ city group takes on the heavy responsibility for promoting Hunan development. But there are some problems of the ＂3 ＋ 5＂ city group, such as deficiency of central city competition, unbalanced regional development and urban - rural gap. The ＂3 ＋ 5＂ city group can promote Hunan development effectively on condition that the government takes Lhe ＂double - type society＂, new industrialization and new urbanization as breach to lift competition, improve industrial structure, integrate regional development and balance urban- rural development.
