摘要
英语一般过去时态在使用中替代一般现在时,使语气变得委婉一些,在传统的语法教授中被认为是一个约定俗成的语法规则,无法解释。拟从认知语言学理论框架,探讨一般过去时表委婉的认知过程,即通过距离性这个认知机制实现了时间域向心理域的映射。本文还就认知语言学提出其对英语语法教学的一些启示。
In the traditional way the English grammar teaching of past tense expressing euphemism is considered to he a conventional rule, whieh can't be explained: This paper studies the cognitive process of past tense expressing euphemism in terms of cognitive hnguistics- the distance of cognitive device based on which we realize the projection of mapping of time- to-- psychology, Besides, this paper also discusses Some inspirations on foreign language teaching.
