从教材建设看制定全国商务英语专业教学大纲的必要性

On the Necessity of National Curriculum for Business English Major

文章通过分析已经出版的几套商务英语专业系列教材,列举了国际商务英语专业在课程设置,教材建设等方面存在的问题,从教育科学的角度阐述了制定商务英语专业教学大纲的必要性,认为应该借鉴全国大学英语专业英语教学大纲编写组的做法,调查研究,集思广益,尽快制定全国大学国际商务英语专业教学大纲,以促进本专业的建设和发展,培养更多更好的社会需要的人才。

Curriculum of a given discipline is a programmatic document which stipulates the objective of student-training , courses to be offered, time allocation as well as teaching requirements in order to provide the society with qualified graduates. It also serves as a basis for compiling textbooks,formulating teaching syllabus for each course and its examination, determining the scope and level of difficulty of the national examination as well as for checking and assessing the quality of teaching and learning. Since Business English has been approved by the Ministry of Education as a discipline, it is an urgent task to formulate a national curriculum for Business E nglish.By analysing some problems in the existing program, this paper expounds the importance of such curriculum and syllabus from the perspective of education science, and points out that the National English Curriculum for English can be taken as a reference in formulating a national curriculum for Business English.
