运用巴氏翻译学说评价鲁迅小说杨译本的得失——以《祝福》和《药》为例

Comments About the Yangs' Translation from the Perspective of Barkhudarov's Semiotic Translation Theory——Taking English Versions of Lu Xun's Novels Medicine and Greeting for Example

以鲁迅小说《祝福》和《药》的英译本为例,用巴尔胡达罗夫的符号学翻译理论从指称意义、语用意义和言内意义三个方面分析和评价杨宪益、戴乃迭两位翻译家的翻译实践──通过对原文一些细微之处的深层涵义的分析,与学界同仁共同探讨如何争取翻译的最大程度的等值,从而达到译文的"功能相似,意义相符"。

Taking the English versions of lu Xun＇s novel Medicine and Greeting for example, this paper analyzes the translation in this two novels by Yang Xianyi and Gladys Yang from the perspective of designative, pragmatic and linguistic meaning in Barkhudarov＇s semiotic translation theory. Through the analysis of some in-depth implication in some subtle points of original text, this paper discusses how to reach the equivalence of the maximum degree in translation procession order to get the effect of ＂similarity in function and correspondence in meaning＂.
